Step by Step photos on how to make peanut chutney for idli or peanut chutney for dosa
Step 1- add 1 tspn of oil in a pan and roast the peanuts well for 2-3 minutes.
Step 2-after that add 1/4 chopped fresh coconut,1/2 inch ginger fry it for 2 minutes.
Step 3-now add 5-6 whole red chillies, salt to taste and fry it for a minute till the aroma comes out.
Step 4 – Grind it in a grinding jar and make a smooth paste of it.
Step 5-now lets prepare the tempering for the peanut chutney.add 1 tspb oil in pan and add 1 tspn cumin seeds,1 tspn mustard seeds,1/4 tspn asafedita,1 tspn urad dal and stir it for sometime and add the curry leaves and fry it for 20 seconds.
6- Now add the tempering to the peanut paste.
7- Mix it really well and our peanut chutney is ready.

* 1/2 cup peanuts
* 1 tbsp of oil
* 1/4 cup chopped fresh coconut
* 1/2 inch ginger
* 5-6 fry red chilli
* salt to taste
Ingredients for tempering the peanut chutney for idli or peanut chutney for dosa-
* 1 tspn oil
* 1 tspn cumin seeds
* 1 tspn mustard seeds
* 1/4 tspn asafetida
* 1 tspn urad dal
* few curry leaves

4- Mix it really well and our peanut chutney is ready.
1- you can also skip the coconuts if you wish too.
2- don’t over roast the peanuts i may give you a burning flavor.
