Step by Step photos on how to make mysore masala dosa recipe
Step 1- Soak 1 tbspn fenugreek seeds,1 cup urad dal ( skinless matpe beans ) and 1 cup white rice overnight or for atleast 7-8 hours.
Step 2 – Also soak 1 cup poha (beaten rice ) for 15 minutes.Now blend the above fenugreek seeds,urad dal ,white rice,beaten rice with the help of some water as per required.
Step 3 – now mix all the batter together and set is aside in a warm place for 10-12 hours.After 10 hours , put a pan on the flame and heat 2 tblspn oil.
Step 4- add 1 tspn cumin seeds,1 tspn mustard seeds, 2 whole red chillies, 2 tbspn peanuts,1 tbspn urad dal.
Step 5- When the peanuts start changing the color add 1/4 tspn asafedita, 1/4 inch chopped ginger, 3 whole green chillies,1 finely medium chopped onion and fry it till the onions becomes soft.
Step 6- Now add few curry leaves,few chopped coriander leaves and fry it for a minute.
Step 7-now add 2 large boiled crushed potatoes,1/2 tspn turmeric powder and fry it well till its get the spices coated well.
Step 8- Now add 1/4 cup of water,salt to taste and cook it well till the water gets eliminated.the potato filling is now ready.
Step 9- Now lets prepare red masala for dosa batter. In a grinding jar add 1/2 cup roasted chana dal (dalia),4-5 garlic cloves,1/2 ginger,5-6 dry red chilli,2 tbsp lemon juice, 3 tbsp water.
Step 10 – Grind it well to make a perfect paste and make the paste thik and don’t make it a gravy type.
Step 11- Now lets make the masala dosa. The dosa butter should be nor too thik nor too dry.
Step 12 – Heat the flat iron griddle in medium high heat and to turn the temperature down whip it with a kitchen cloth.
Step 13- Pour the whole of dosa batter at the top of griddle and gently spread it in circular motion and spread 1 tbspn of olive oil ( can use any oil) above it. it will take 5-6 minutes to get darker.
Step 14- It has started getting crispy from the bottom and apply the red masala all over the dosa and let it get cooked for about a minute and spread 1 tbspn butter above it (its optional).
Step 15- Now its time to add the potato fillings , spread it in center and am gonna make a triangle dosa. Now lets start folding it from 3 sides to make it a triangle dosa.
Step 16 – Now our Manglore Style Triangle Dosa is ready to be served with peanut chutney and sambhar.

2 tbspn oil
1 tspn mustard seeds
1 tspn cumin seeds
2 dry red chilli
2 tbsp of peanuts

1/4 tspn asafetida (hing)
1/4 inch finely chopped ginger
3 whole green chilli
1 medium chopped onion
few curry leaves
few chopped coriander leaves
2 large boiled crushed potatoes
1/4 tspn turmeric powder
1/4 cup water
salt to taste

1/2 cup roasted chana dal (dalia)
4-5 garlic cloves
5-6 dry red chilli
2 tbsp lemon juice
3 tbsp water
Directions on making masala dosa recipe-

5- Heat the flat iron griddle and pour the whole of dosa batter at the top of griddle and gently spread it in circular motion and spread 1 tspb of olive oil .
6- It has started getting crispy from the bottom and apply the red masala all over the dosa and add the potato fillings , spread it in center.
7- start folding it from 3 sides to make it a triangle dosa.
1- Don’t make the dosa batter to thik or too dry.
2- You can replace the paenut chutney with your choice of chutney.
3- the potatos must be boiled well unless it may be hard to crush.
4-you can also make circular dosa by folding it from the start to the end.
