Step 1- Soak 1 cup of rajma (red kidney beans ) overnight or at least 8 hours.
Step 2- the next day or after 8 to 9 hours, drain the soaked water.rinse the rajma beans again in fresh clean water and keep is aside.
Step 3- first we had to grind some ingredients like 3 chopped onions, 1 inch ginger,1 whole garlic, 2 tblspn water and grind it and make a fine paste.
Step 4- you can see our ingredients are now ground to fine paste. keep it aside.
Step 5- heat 2 tblspn oil in a pressure cooker and add the ground paste that we had kept aside.
Step 6- sort it until the paste becomes golden brown colored. this is gonna take around 5-6 minutes in medium flame.
Step 7- now add 1 cup fresh tomato pure .(grind 3 tomatoes in a grinder)
Step 8- now give it a mix ,add salt to taste and cook it till the oil separates from the tomato mixture.
Step 9- now the tomatoes are nicely cooked. add 1 tspn turmeric powder, 1 tspn coriander powder,1 tspn cumin powder,1 tspn red chilli powder and salt if required.
Step 10- now cook these mixture for around 30 second unless it may start burning.
Step 11- now add the soaked rajma (red kidney beans ) and mix it till the rajma coats the masala.
Step 12- Now add 2 cup of water and mix it well. now cover the lid of the pressure cooker and cook it in high flame till 3-4 vessels are given out.
Step 13- After that lower the flame and cook for 3-4 vessels more.
Step 14- Now our rajma masala is ready. garnish it with coriander leaves and serve it with hot tandoori rotis.

- Soak the rajma for atleast 9-10 hours before making the rajma masala recipe.
- don’t add too much whole spices unless it might get messy.
- cook the rajma well with the masala so that the rajma coats the masala well.
- don’t let the rajma uncooked unless it may give you uncooked flavor.
