Learn how to make chole bhature easily at home. Chole bhature is a recipe from punjab cuisine and a delhi street food. chole bhature recipe is combination of chana masala i.e chole and fried breads i.e bhatura. Chole bhature is the breakfast recipe of north western india.
It is a very famous recipe now that is being ordered all around the world as people love chole bhature completely basically in UK,USA,Canada etc. chole bhature is spicy and so tasty that it should be eaten hot. whenever i visit any dhaba or street stall i love to order chole bhature and i can’t pass away from there without eating chole bhature.

So lets first start making bhatura…
Step by Step pictures on how to make bhatura for chole bhature recipe –
Step 1- take a bowl and add 450 gm maida/flour in it and make a well in the center.
Step 2- now add curd,sugar,baking soda and salt in the bowl.
Step 3-mix all the ingredients well and add 2 tblspn of oil in the bowl.
Step 4- Mix all the ingredients thoroughly.
Step 5- Now take warm water to prepare the dough,knead the flour nicely.
Step 6- the dough is ready ,now grease your hands with some oil and knead the dough until it becomes shiney and smoother.
Step 7- make sure to knead the dough until the sugar mixes well and completely.
Step 8- the dough should not be too hard nor be too thin.
Step 9- now our smoother and silky dough is ready.pour some oil on the top of the dough.
Step 10- now cover the dough with a cloth and set aside for 2 hours so that it expands its size.
Step 11- After 2 hours,its time to prepare the bhature . the dough had to expanded double its size.
Step 12- grease your hands with some flour and punch the dough for 1 minute.
Step 13- now start breaking the dough into small balls for making bhature. make small balls and set aside.
Step 14- Take a dough ball, and fold it in fry flour and roll it out in oval shape. it must be thinner than a chapati that we roll.
Step 15- Preheat the pan with oil and for frying bhature you need very hot oil.
Step 16- Now fry he bhature in to oil by pressing it from the above so that it swells up well.
Step 17-when it swells flip it so that it get fry to the second side too.
Step 18- now transfer it into a plate.
Step 19- in the same manner fry the remaining bhature . now the bhatura’s are ready.

Ingredients for making bhature recipe-
- 500 gm refined flour
- 1/2 cup curd
- 2 tblspn oil
- 1 tspn sugar
- 1 tspn baking soda
- 1 tspn salt

9- in the same manner fry the remaining bhature .
10-now the bhature are ready served with chole.
- Keep the dough of bhature aside for atleast 2-3 hours so that it expands well.
- Don’t roll the bhature round shaped or too much thin. roll it in oval shape
- when you are frying the bhatura,press it from up side our pour the hot oil from the pot so that it blooms well.
- first cook the chole after that cook the bhature.
Bonus tip on bhature recipe-
Serve the bhature hot in your plates so that you the get the magical taste of it. don’t let it cool down. unless the crunchiness will be gone.
